Jamie Carragher was highly critical of Curtis Jones(Image: Sky Sports Premier League/X)
Jamie Carragher believes Curtis Jones 'arrogance' resulted in a 'poor' performance for the Liverpool midfielder.
Carragher has been one of Jones' biggest fans this season, even suggesting Arne Slot may not need to sign another midfielder in January due to the player's improved performances.
But while Carragher has constantly spoken highly of Jones, the Liverpool legend was not impressed by his display against United.
After the game, where Jones was taken off in place of Diogo Jota after 61 minutes, Carragher criticised the Englishman.

Speaking on the Gary Neville podcast after the draw, Carragher said: "I thought Curtis Jones was poor and the one negative about Curtis Jones as a player when he's not playing well is he holds on to the ball too much.
He lost the ball early on and I thought it's going to be one of those days from Curtis, but in the main he's been fantastic."
While many were concerned that Liverpool had not signed another deep-lying midfielder in the summer, Slot looks to have found the perfect balance with Ryan Gravenberch as the player in front of the back-line, while Alexis Mac Allister and Jones push further forward.

In his post-match press conference, Slot said: "It is not so easy to take control if the other team plays every ball into your last line.
So yeah, taking control against a team that plays almost every ball into your last line is not as easy as other playing styles."
