Despite the excitement around retaining Salah and Van Dijk, he acknowledged that there are still aspects of the team that need work, especially at right-wing and center-back positions.

“Liverpool, even though they’re going to win the title, they’ve still got areas where they can improve in this team,” he said.

“They didn’t need to sort of improve right wing or center back this summer—that’s been kicked out for a couple of years.”
