Jamie Carragher has hit out at Liverpool fans after some were heard booing Trent Alexander-Arnold at Leicester on Sunday.
The Reds vice-captain made his return from injury off the bench at the King Power, and struck the all-important winner to leave his side on the verge of winning the Premier League title.
A move to Real Madrid still looks to be the most likely outcome with his contract expiring in the summer, although Alexander-Arnold still wasn’t giving anything away as he gave a rare interview after the game.
His expected switch to the Bernabeu has not gone down well with supporters, many of whom are unhappy at the prospect of him leaving his boyhood club for nothing, as well as his general silence on the matter this season.
Although he was afforded a largely positive reception at Leicester, not everyone was all that pleased to see him, with former Liverpool striker John Aldridge having already hit out supporters for booing Alexander-Arnold as he came off the bench.

Alexander-Arnold would of course go on to strike the winner against Leicester, sparking wild celebrations as he whipped his shirt off before making his way over to the traveling supporters.
The celebrations have led some to question whether he was trying to send some sort of message amid the ongoing uncertainty around his future, with former Arsenal striker Ian Wright giving his take.
“It gave me the impression of a guy that was just relieved, if I’m being totally honest,” Wright said
