Sky Sports showed that list after the final whistle as part of their analysis - Alan Shearer at Blackburn Rovers (47, 1994/95), Andy Cole at Newcastle United (47, 1993/94), Thierry Henry (44, 2002/03), Erling Haaland (44, 2022/23), Luis Suarez (43, 2013/14) and Salah himself with 41 in his debut Reds campaign.
"I think when you look at the names on there some are goalscorers and some are great players.

Thierry Henry’s almost a great player, and I think people would say when we talk about the Premier League we’d put Thierry Henry on the top," Carragher responded.
"I think, for me, Mo Salah is definitely second.
Thierry’s a colleague of ours so at the moment he’s still on top, but we are looking at someone who is pushing really closely."
As said, Carragher has not been afraid to throw his thoughts on Salah's unresolved future into the public sphere.
As recently as last Tuesday the pundit questioned the club for not finding a solution, the player for his lack of commitment and finally stated his belief that a contract offer has definitely already been made.
Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones prodded him to repeat the 'show him the money, give him what he wants' line, but this time an honest Carragher just said: "Well, I don’t know what he wants.
