Jamie Carragher has said Arne Slot needs to make three signings to improve this Liverpool squad ahead of next season.

He’s one of a number of players Slot clearly doesn’t trust to start games, along with the likes of Jarell Quansah, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott, and Federico Chiesa.

He shared a similar opinion in the wake of the win over City and referenced how Slot needs to strengthen the pool of players he trusts to start games, despite finally declaring it's a "matter of when not if" Liverpool wins the title.

“Slot is going to know this squad a lot better going into next season,” the former defender said on Sky Sports.

It is not about bringing four or five squad players in.
