"There was a lot of noise outside the club, a figure as big as Jurgen Klopp moves on, he hasn't tried to impersonate him in any way," he said.
"It was really telling at the end of the West Ham game and before the final whistle, it almost felt like you were watching him [Klopp] on the side of the pitch in some way, I'd never seen that before and at the end of the game, went on the pitch and gave a little fist bump.

"I think he felt that it'd been a tough week because he hadn't been used to losing in the Premier League.
"There's been a calmness about him and the club, there's been outside noise regarding the contracts but don't forget, they didn't bring anyone in, he assessed the squad, he was quite calm that he didn't need to buy anybody.

"That's what I like about the club right now, it's quiet, there's turmoil around other big clubs with managers, players coming in but Liverpool are in control, they won't be swayed - not even by their own supporters.
"I still do believe that there is a big job to be done in the summer, I think having assessed the team, over the last 12 months even though they're going to win the league, he'll put a real imprint on this team next season."

"I’m really happy they both extended.
A great personality and a great football player.

“I think at Liverpool there is always a big summer and it is already a big summer now.
Maybe the players don't follow everything what has been said in the media, me neither, but what I do know it was it was a big thing – 'can we hold onto them?' - and by already holding on to two it is already a big summer.
"Let's see what the rest of the summer will bring but it would be strange for me to say now I am not happy with the team we are having because I've said this for a year, we are happy with the team we are having.
