Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool to "just win" their clash against Everton tonight(Image: PA)
Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool to "just win" as they face rivals Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
The Reds will play their game in hand against their neighbours - with the opportunity to move nine points clear on the line.
A win for Arne Slot's side would see them take a considerable step in the Premier League title race and extend their gap to nearest challengers Arsenal.
The Gunners, who are currently weathering an injury crisis with Kai Havertz becoming the latest casualty following reports that he could miss the remainder of the season, take on Leicester City on Saturday but their trip to the King Power Stadium could see pressure increase with a Liverpool win.

Carragher posted a simple message on his social media, taking to Instagram, he shared the Reds match graphic with the caption: "Just win."
It follows on from his comments after Liverpool booked their place in the Carabao Cup final last week, when they overcame a first-leg deficit to beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 on aggregate.
The Reds will be looking for a response following their shock FA Cup exit to Plymouth Argyle on Sunday after Ryan Hardie's penalty was enough to see the Championship strugglers progress.
Carragher highlighted that the clash in the final Goodison Park derby is one of the biggest games of the season - not just because of the local bragging rights.
The 47-year-old said that a triumph for Arne Slot's side could have a significant psychological impact on their title rivals.
"This could be a really special season for Liverpool, they've been in this situation where four trophies are available twice in the last three or four years," said Carragher.
"They come away with two Carabao Cups and an FA Cup.
They didn't win the big ones.
"The most important thing is to win the big trophies, the Premier League and Champions League, they're in a great position in the final - they'll go into that as favourites.
"This has the capabilities to be a great season, when you look next week in the Premier League, that's the biggest game of the season.
"Not because it's Everton, Liverpool have been talking about a game-in-hand for about two months.
The game-in-hand and the gap over Arsenal, if Liverpool win that they've almost got one-hand on the trophy, a nine-point lead, with 13 or 14 games to go is a huge lead with the form that Liverpool are in.
"The final to come and if they win next week psychologically it's a boost for Liverpool, but also what it would do to Arsenal.

"I don't think many people a Arsenal would believe they could pull that back, it's a huge lead at this stage of the season."
