Jamie Carragher has been told to 'f*** off!' in response to his comments on the African Cup of Nations.
The Sky Sports pundit has faced a backlash after claiming that Mo Salah would probably have to win the Champions League with the Reds to stand a chance of winning the Ballon d'Or, as AFCON isn't seen as a "major tournament" according to Carragher.
Salah is enjoying a stellar season with Arne Slot's side, who are on course to lift the Premier League title, face Newcastle in the Carling Cup Final and are still in the Champions League, with Salah scoring 30 and laying on 22 for his teammates.
However, Carragher's take has earned him a blast from former Chelsea midfielder Jon Obi Mikel.
he lifted the AFCON title with Nigeria in 2013, as well as the Prmeier League with the Blues in 2009/210 and 2014/15.
He was enraged by Carragher's disrespect, and was quick to point out the ex-defender's habit of telling current managers and players how to win the title depsite lack of Premier League winners medals himself.
Mikel fumed: "African Nations tournament is s***.
It's s***, that is has no value because it's not the Euros or the Copa America...he can f*** off!
