A video of Jeremie Frimpong excitedly embracing Liverpool pair Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk has got Reds fans excited about the prospect of the wing-back joining the Reds this summer.

A first international break for four months is just getting under way and the players who Ronald Koeman selected to be in his Netherlands squad convened at the KNVB Campus in the Dutch town of Zeist on Monday.

The Dutch national team shared a video of the players reuniting on social media platform X, and the Liverpool-linked Frimpong, who revealed in January that he almost joined the Reds as a schoolboy, looks delighted as he greets Gravenberch, jokingly saying "you alright lad?" in a Scouse accent before hugging the Reds midfielder.

A Liverpool fan account reposted the video alongside the caption: "He’s our new RB isn’t he?" - with the repost being liked over 3,000 times by other X users.

The Reds could be in the market for a new right-back this summer, with Trent Alexander-Arnold seemingly set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
