Jordan Henderson has vehemently denied rumours that he was seeking a move away from Ajax, labelling them as 'disrespectful lies'.
The former Liverpool captain addressed the media for the first time since speculation arose about a potential January transfer to AS Monaco.
Since leaving Liverpool 18 months ago, Henderson, 34, had a brief stint with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq before joining Ajax in last year's winter window.
Dutch legend Wesley Sneijder advised him to 'be a man'.
However, instead of a mid-season switch, there were reports of a 'U-turn', with Henderson deciding to stay put until at least the end of the season.
When asked about his alleged desire to leave his Dutch club, Henderson was defensive.
"Based on what?
I will give everything for the club and the team.
"Of course I am happy to stay.
I don't know what their sources are, but it is not true."
The former Red, who served the club for 12 years and captained for eight, was in action for Ajax on Sunday, playing the full 90 minutes in their 2-1 Eredevisie triumph over Feyenoord.
