Reports from Turkey assert that Jose Mourinho has his eye on one Liverpool man ahead of the summer window.

As the Reds approach their 20th league title capture, the club faces a pivotal summer defined by strategic exits and targeted reinforcements.

Multiple reports suggest that Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes and Arne Slot are planning a major squad overhaul this summer to address several weaknesses that have been highlighted in cup competitions.

The Premier League has officially announced the dates for the summer 2025 transfer window, which will run from June 1-10 for a special registration period related to the FIFA Club World Cup, before reopening on June 16 and closing on September 11.

And while potential incomings are on everyone’s lips this summer,  it seems that outgoings are also going to be a big topic this summer.

Reports in Turkey have claimed that Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce wants to take Federico Chiesa away from Anfield in the summer.

Local outlet Fotomac reports the news, and claims that Portuguese manager wants his board to make contact with the Anfield club in the summer:

“Fenerbahce continues to experience hot developments in the transfer market,” Fotomac asserts.

“Federico Chiesa was the latest name to come to the fore for the Canaries,  who have accelerated their transfer efforts.”

“The management, who rolled up their sleeves at Mourinho’s request, will knock on Liverpool’s door for the 27-year-old Italian right winger.”

The Italian international has made just 11 appearances in total – merely three in the Premier League – and has failed to start a single league match under Arne Slot’s management

The 27-year-old’s first full 90 minutes in a Liverpool shirt didn’t come until late January 2025, nearly five months after his arrival, when he featured in a Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven.

Despite Liverpool sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League table, Chiesa has remained firmly on the periphery of first-team affairs.

Chiesa has shown glimpses of the quality that made him one of Europe’s most coveted attackers?

In his 387 minutes of action, he has contributed two goals and two assists—a goal contribution every 97 minutes.

But it seems that Fenerbahce could be one of a number of clubs that try and pry the Italian away from Anfield in the summer.
