The 19-year-old is currently on loan with Nurnberg from Greek side PAOK and the German second division outfit plan on activating the €18m buy option in his loan deal with the intention of selling him directly in the summer, reports Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
Liverpool have been strongly linked to Tzimas in recent weeks with the Reds said to be eyeing a summer move for the Greek star.
The Merseyside club are understood to have been impressed by Tzimas’ performances for FC Nurnberg this season, but despite the eight goals and two assists he has produced, Liverpool have opted not to move for the youngster in 2025.
Eintracht Frakfurt’s Omar Marmoush is a top target for the Reds but given Man City’s interest in the Bundesliga star, that led to the Merseyside club keeping an eye on Tzimas.

According to James Pearce, Liverpool have no interest in pursuing a deal for Tzimas in 2025 despite the 19-year-old being heavily tipped to make a switch to Anfield.
This may come as a surprise to many Liverpool fans as recent words from Nurnberg’s sporting director, Olaf Rebbe, about Tsimas made the deal look like an easy one to get over the line.
Speaking to Bild this week, Rebbe shot down any prospect of Tzimas leaving this month for Liverpool or any other club.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Tzimas as Liverpool are one less club pursuing his talents.
