Alexander Isak has been linked to Liverpool in recent weeks and that is the name every fan wants to see at Anfield next season.
The Premier League leaders have also been linked to several stars in the Bundesliga and David Lynch has spotted an “absolutely ridiculous” pattern emerging in Germany.

It was reported this week that Liverpool have added Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck to their transfer list as the centre-back is being viewed as Virgil van Dijk’s successor.
This follows Liverpool’s links to Angelo Stiller of Stuttgart, while Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich was also connected with a move to Anfield.
Although the Merseyside club may have some interest in some of these stars, Liverpool journalist David Lynch is starting to notice a pattern emerging between the Reds and players in Germany.

When asked if he had heard anything about the Schlotterbeck interest, Lynch told the Anfield Index: “No, not particularly if I’m honest, I’ve not heard any truth in those links.”
Before continuing to say: “What I will say as well is that I feel, I don’t want to kind of get into calling anyone out specifically, but there are a couple of journalists that I think have currently linked Liverpool to possibly every single player who’s plying their trade in Germany at the moment.
“I just wish people who would take that with a pinch of salt, we probably shouldn’t even bother discussing things that they’ve linked because honestly, Liverpool, according to them, are in for everyone at the moment.
“And you know, Liverpool do have interest and do watch a wide range of players, but honestly, the frequency with which these links come out, it just should lose all credibility.
To me, it’s just absolutely ridiculous.”
Although the links are likely to continue, the areas in which Liverpool need to strengthen are clear.
A striker may also be required as Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, but all this will be dictated by what happens to the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold as the trio remain in contract negotiations.
