Diogo Jota has had good moments in a Liverpool shirt, but those moments have been few and far between throughout his time at the club because of injuries.

Liverpool have been needing to make a hard call regarding him for a while now, and it looks like they have made their decision.

As reported by football journalist David Lynch, Liverpool are willing to sell Diogo Jota at the end of the season.

“He’s going to be two years out from the end of his contract when this season ends, can Liverpool rely on him, do they need to cash in on him.

By the end of this season, Jota will have completed five years at Liverpool, but one see why his time at the club does not feel like a half-a-decade affair.

Jota has been impressive—almost elite one could say—when he’s been on the pitch for Liverpool, but his injury issues make it hard for Liverpool to consider him a player they can rely upon season after season for most of their games in a campaign.



Given they did not spend too much on Jota in the first place and will get to recoup some of the money they did spend, despite the injuries, Jota’s numbers make his move to Liverpool, even at worst, a good one
