As reported by Sky Sports News, Liverpool paid close to £8m in compensation to Feyenoord to recruit Slot, with the Dutch giants also due another £2m in undisclosed add-ons, likely associated to trophies won in a specific timeframe.
Indeed, Liverpool hit the lottery when they decided on Slot to succeed Klopp last year, and the £18m spent to oversee the transfer of power has been paid back and then some with the Premier League title all-but wrapped up.
