Prime Video’s highly anticipated documentary series “Doubters to Believers: Liverpool FC — Klopp’s Era” has officially launched today, February 28, 2025, offering fans an unprecedented look into Jürgen Klopp’s transformative nine-year reign at Liverpool Football Club.

The four-part series chronicles the German manager’s journey from his arrival in October 2015 to his emotional departure in May 2024, capturing the transformation of a sleeping giant back into European and domestic champions.

Originally conceived as an eight-part series focused solely on Klopp’s final season, the project evolved into a broader retrospective of his entire Anfield reign after his shock resignation announcement in January 2024.

The documentary, directed and produced by Lorton Entertainment (known for films about Diego Maradona and Steven Gerrard), features rare behind-the-scenes footage from Klopp’s final six months in charge, complemented by a brief overview of his days at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.

While providing a glossy trip down memory lane with iconic match footage and key personnel interviews, some viewers might find the dressing-room access somewhat limited.

The only players followed extensively by camera crews away from the training ground are Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, and Jayden Danns.

Harvey Elliott and his family provide some of the most emotionally resonant content, opening their home to cameras.

Elliott’s father Scott reveals the poignant moment after his son signed for Liverpool in 2019:

“We both burst out crying, so I pulled over on the hard shoulder and we just had this embrace for about a minute.” Harvey himself speaks thoughtfully about living his father’s dream: “I’m living his dream.

So as much as possible I try to live it with him”.

While initially reluctant to participate in such projects during his tenure, Klopp eventually embraced the documentary concept, stating in a press release: “With this being my final season, I thought we should provide a rare opportunity for viewers to have more of an inside look at what makes this club so special?

Thanks to this new documentary series, viewers will be able to see what I see every day at this great club and understand those amazing people more”.

In the documentary, Klopp describes the atmosphere during the 2024 Carabao Cup triumph over Chelsea at Wembley—secured despite an injury crisis and ultimately his final trophy—as “a flying carpet: we just sat on it and flew” and “one of the best moments of my career”.

However, he was not all smiles when asked about Liverpool’s damaging 2-0 defeat to Everton last April: “Now I have to go back to the f***ing Everton game that I tried hard to get out of my mind and tell you what I thought before this f***ing game?

It was probably all wrong as we played as s*** as we did.”

Released today exclusively on Prime Video in the UK, Nordics, and Benelux regions.
