Arne Slot is not the first Liverpool manager to have a bone to pick with referee Michael Oliver, as his predecessor Jurgen Klopp also once confronted the official at the end of a game.

A livid Klopp approached Oliver after Liverpool were denied a last-minute penalty against Manchester City in a Premier League game in March 2024.
