Jurgen Klopp has now passed on his congratulations after Liverpool rubber-stamped their 20th league title on Sunday.
The iconic German manager stepped away from the Anfield hotseat at the end of last season after eight and a half trophy-laden years on Merseyside where he led the team to glory in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
Following his final game as Liverpool boss, Klopp got the Anfield going by grabbing the mic and bursting into a chant of 'Arne Slot, nananana' - with the Dutchman all but confirmed as his successor.
And after Liverpool wrapped up the championship on Sunday with a 4-1 trashing of Tottenham, classy Slot returned the favour by chanting Klopp's name in recognition of the foundations laid down by the former Dortmund manager.
Liverpool supporters partied in the city and outside Anfield into the early hours of Monday morning after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 had prevented them from gathering in their thousands to savour the moment.

After leaving Liverpool, Klopp accepted an offer to become Head of Global Soccer of the Red Bull football franchise from January 2025, with a clause included in the contract that will allow him to move onto the position of head coach of the German national team should he ever be approached
Earlier this month, the German was linked with the hotseat at Real Madrid after it was revealed that Carlo Ancelotti is set to bring the curtain down on his second spell at the Santiago Bernabeu in order to become the new head coach of the Brazil national team.
However, the story was quickly shot down by Klopp's agent Marc Kosicke, who said: "Jurgen is very happy with his new role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull."
