Jurgen Klopp and his staff received combined pay-offs worth $11.8 million when they left the club last year to cover the remainder of the time on their contracts.

The legendary German manager departed Anfield following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season — two years earlier than the previously planned end of his final Reds contract, which he signed in 2022 and was due to run until 2026.

The details of Klopp's pay-off came to light as the Reds announced their financial results for the 2023-24 season, which saw the club record an overall pre-tax loss of $71.8 million despite an increase in matchday revenue and commercial revenue.
