Jamie Vardy will leave Leicester City at the end of the season, bringing to an end a fairytale story that included the unlikeliest of Premier League titles.

Despite enduring mixed fortunes of its own that season, it delivered a comfortable 3-0 win at Anfield, with Vardy kept quiet and goals coming from Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and an own goal from Jonny Evans.

However, Vardy had his say in the reverse fixture, netting in a 3-1 win at the King Power Stadium.

As it happens, that proved to be his final goal against Liverpool (at least in a Leicester jersey).

By insisting that Liverpool needed to stop the pass, he was effectively saying that Vardy had the tools to trouble even Virgil van Dijk or Joel Matip in a one-on-one situation — although the Dutchman had admittedly been ruled out for the season by this point.
