By now, all Liverpool fans should be aware that Jurgen Klopp has returned to football with Red Bull.
The German assumed his new position on January 1, 2025, overseeing Red Bull’s international network of football clubs, including RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, and New York Red Bulls.
The former Liverpool manager’s official title is ‘Head of Global Soccer’ at Red Bull.
Operating from his bases in Wiesbaden and Mallorca, Klopp works closely with Football Director Mario Gomez to oversee the strategic development of football operations.
While not involved in day-to-day operations, Klopp will focus on developing the overall football strategy, supporting sports directors, and assisting with scouting and coaching development.
And as Red Bull’s newly appointed Global Head of Soccer, Jürgen Klopp has embarked on an extensive world tour of the company’s football network, bringing his expertise to various clubs within the Red Bull ecosystem.
Where is Jurgen Klopp now in his Red Bull tour?
The tour began with a visit to RB Bragantino in São Paulo, Brazil, where Klopp engaged with the club’s technical staff and reviewed their football operations?
This South American leg marked the first stop in his comprehensive review of Red Bull’s football portfolio.
And now, New York Red Bull has revealed that the German is now in the United States – where he has been photographed at the Red Bulls’ snow-covered training facility holding up a personalized jersey bearing his name.
The visit to the MLS side comes during their crucial pre-season preparations.
However, it won’t be the only stop left for the former Liverpool man on his global tour.
BILD have revealed that Klopp is still scheduled for a visit to Japan, where Klopp will assess operations at newly-promoted Omiya Ardija in mid-February.
The Red Bull group recently bought the Japanese side and Klopp could have some serious work to undertake there.
Additionally, Klopp is expected to pay a visit to Paris FC – currently in Ligue 2 – where RB holds a minority stake.
