Jurgen Klopp officially stepped into his new role as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer at the start of the year with a highly anticipated introductory press conference held in Salzburg, Austria, on Tuesday.
This marked Klopp’s first public appearance since leaving Anfield at the end of last season.
Klopp’s new position sees him overseeing Red Bull’s global soccer operations, which include clubs such as RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Bragantino.
However, the 57-year-old clarified that he would not be involved in day-to-day coaching or management duties.
Instead, his focus will be on supporting the sports directors of these clubs in advancing Red Bull’s unique footballing philosophy.
During the press conference, Klopp addressed speculation about his future in coaching.

“I hope he stays.
He is Liverpool’s best striker in modern times – and they had many great ones,” Klopp said at his press conference.
“A fantastic player, a fantastic professional.
Absolutely outstanding.”
“The best ambassador Egypt could have.”
The 32-year-old has consistently put pressure on the club through the use of the media, but no breakthrough has emerged yet on the contract front.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp further explained why the role at Red Bull suits him:
“Because it’s a different role.
