New Borussia Dortmund boss Nuri Sahin has openly admitted Jurgen Klopp's effect on his football journey.
Despite winning the La Liga title at the Spanish giants, the Turkish midfielder made just 10 total appearances for Madrid, scoring one goal and assisting once.
?
Sahin didn't spend much time in Spain, going out on loan to Liverpool and Dortmund, before making a permanent move back to Germany in 2014 to join up with Klopp again.
Sahin clocked up 179 appearances while under Klopp's wing before the revered coach said goodbye to Dortmund in 2015 to carve out a storied chapter at Liverpool.

Now, Sahin has been handed the top job at BVB after aiding Edin Terzic as his deputy and is well-versed in his expectations - admitting he still casts glances at the lingering influence of Klopp's tenure.
He [Klopp] told me to leave because I had an argument with another player." While Sahin admitted he was rather young and naive at the time, he was convinced of Klopp's hard stance and left the training ground - with nerves about arriving the next day.
Sahin returned to the grounds, worried and braced for potential repercussions.
Ask any of the guys at Dortmund, at Mainz, at Liverpool now, they'll tell you the same."
?
Despite Borussia Dortmund currently trailing in the Bundesliga, the team boasts an impressive track record in the Champions League, and Sahin is optimistic about using Klopp's strategies to enrich his side's performance.
To play at Anfield was a wonderful experience."

Sahin also spoke about the one outcome of his move to Liverpool; it led to a return to Dortmund.
