Alisson Becker has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, yet the goalkeeper endured quite a scare this weekend with Brazil.

Facing off against Colombia in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, Alisson was forced off for Brazil after picking up a suspected concussion after enduring a nasty head injury, with the 32-year-old goalkeeper since returning to Liverpool for further assessments.

Having missed 14 games already this season due to injury, losing Alisson again will be a huge blow for Liverpool, even with just nine matches left to go and the Premier League virtually in the Reds’ hands already.

Yet Alisson has calmed down fears over a lengthy spell out on the sideline after a message posted on social media by the Brazilian.

Taking to Instagram, Alisson shared a positive message with Liverpool fans that he’s feeling fine after returning to England, with the goalkeeper writing: “Hey guys, just to let you know I’m fine!

Just have to follow the protocols!

Thanks for the messages.”

With Liverpool not playing until the start of April, time is on Alisson’s side to make a full recovery ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton, where a win could put the Reds in a dream position to wrap up the Premier League title next month.

Indeed, Alisson was compared to two UEFA Champions League legends by Thierry Henry earlier this month after the goalkeeper’s exceptional performance away to PSG, with the Brazilian showcasing why he’s such an important player for Liverpool.

And even though Liverpool would be fine if Alisson were to miss another good chunk of the season, the 32-year-old’s presence between the sticks is clear for all to see, with the South American easily one of the best in the world in his position.

International breaks have become anxious periods in the season for supporters, with injuries to key players becoming more prevalent with the amount of matches the top figures in the game are playing as high as it has ever been.

And Liverpool are feeling the strain this March, with Ryan Gravenberch pulling out of the Netherlands squad due to precautionary reasons as Ibrahima Konate was injured for France in their loss against Croatia.

With three key players picking up injuries, Liverpool will hope the trio can all recover in time for next month’s Premier League return, where the title could be wrapped up within just five matches.
