Juventus prepare offer for Liverpool linked defender
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are prepared to submit a bid for Feyenoord’s David Hancko.
The 27-year-old Slovakian defender has been a standout performer in the Eredivisie and the Champions League this season.
Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is ready to offer around €23 million in June, hoping to finalize the deal before the Club World Cup.
Juventus scouts watched Hancko in action during Feyenoord’s 1-1 draw against AC Milan in the Champions League.
They were impressed, and Tuttosport claims an agreement has already been reached with the player’s entourage.
The proposed contract would see Hancko sign a five-year deal worth €2.5 million per year, plus add-ons.
Despite interest from Liverpool, Hancko appears to favor a move to Juventus.
According to Tuttosport, he was “reluctant to listen to Liverpool’s offer at the end of the January transfer window.”
His desire to play in Italy and for a club like Juventus has seemingly made his decision clear.
With Liverpool still in the mix, the coming months will determine if they can turn his head or if Juventus will wrap up the deal early.
