Leeds United and Burnley have officially secured promotion to the Premier League.
Their promotion was confirmed on Monday after Scott Parker’s side secured a 2-1 win over third-placed Sheffield United.
Leeds’ massive 6-0 win over Stoke City on Easter Sunday ensured they began the week with the possibility of returning to the Premier League for the first time since the 2022/23 season.
Their respective wins mean that both sides are now on 94 points apiece, with Leeds leading the table due to their better goal difference.
Both sides will now have eyes on the Championship title with just two games remaining.
Leeds host Bristol City before finishing the season away to Plymouth Argyle, while Burnley’s remaining games include a road trip to Queens Park Rangers and a home match with Milwall.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United are assured of a spot in the Championship playoffs along with Sunderland and two other sides for the remaining spot in the Premier League.
The race for the automatic promotion spots has been typically competitive this season, but a run of three straight defeats for Sheffield United in the first half of April spelt the end of their challenge.
