Liverpool supporters have been wondering whether they are seeing Mohamed Salah’s last pre-season with the club.

Salah has become a Reds icon for his exploits since joining from Roma back in 2017.

However, with just one year now left on his contract, there are signs that Salah could leave at the end of the season.

If that does turn out to be the case, then this summer will be the last chance for the legions of Liverpool fans in the USA to see the Egyptian King.

And after featuring for 64 minutes of the Reds 1-0 win over Real Betis in Pittsburgh last night, Salah made sure that the visit was a memorable one for those in attendance.

In many ways, Salah has been the symbol of the Jurgen Klopp era at Anfield.

A lot of people would have the 32-year-old down as the best player during a hugely successful period at the club.

Whether that is true or not, Salah was certainly the biggest name on show in Pittsburgh on Saturday.

MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES

With so many of the Liverpool squad still away on holiday, fans were unable to see the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Instead, they were treated to a masterclass from young Trey Nyoni and saw some more emerging talent from the Liverpool academy, too.

Nevertheless, the draw of Salah alone cannot be understated.

And after providing the games decisive moment with a lovely assist for Dominik Szoboszlai, Mo stayed behind to greet his waiting supporters.

With the Acrisure Stadium virtually empty, former Detroit City footballer George Chomakov took to X to share a video of Salah walking along the pitch by the stands.

“Salah has been signing stuff for the past 15 minutes with the fans around the stadium,” says Chomakov.

“Absolute legend.

That is important.

First and foremost, though, Salah is still a key man for Liverpool because of what he can do on the pitch.

There has been some speculation that Mo will move more centrally under Slot, but on Saturday he retained his usual right-sided forward role.

In general, Salah was quite quiet.
