With seven goals in 18 appearances so far in the Premier League for Ipswich Town this season, Liam Delap has supposedly caught the eye of Liverpool heading into 2025.
According to the Daily Mail, the Reds are among a number of clubs keeping tabs on his progress, though Manchester City, his former club, has first refusal.
That was negotiated into the $25m (£20m/€24m) deal that saw him move to the east coast last summer.
But with bigger clubs circling ahead of a possible move at the end of the season, Delap has responded by insisting he is content where he is.
Under Kieran McKenna, he is flying at the moment and his only focus is on keeping Ipswich in the top flight.
"I don’t really look at things like that," he told Suffolk News when asked about the transfer speculation.
I think we’ve got a great opportunity here at Ipswich and we’re just trying to show our ability week in, week out, that’s a big plus for me."
In addition to Liverpool, Chelsea has also been linked with Delap and head coach Enzo Maresca worked him while the pair were both at Manchester City.
Liverpool's Jarell Quansah and Ipswich Town's Liam Delap battle for the ball.
And also because of his age, I think he can be an important player for England."
Liverpool.com says: Delap is a really good striker in the making but it is hard to imagine Manchester City allowing him to move to Anfield if it has first refusal
