Paris Saint-Germain made history last night by becoming the first team to knock Liverpool out of a European tie after the Reds had won the first leg away from home.

Prior to the game, The Reds had hoped that the Anfield atmosphere would be the difference maker in this game, but the quality of the French champions was too much for them.

The home side had a very promising start with Mo Salah coming close in the 5th minute.

After he whipped the rebound across the six-yard box, Szoboszlai prodded it home from close range but it was flagged for offside.

Mac Allister’s out-swinging corner was met by Diaz but it was heroically clawed away from the goalline by Donnarumma.
