Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher was mocked by Liverpool FC fans after he attempted to downplay the Reds’ Premier League title campaign.
Liverpool will be confirmed as Premier League champions if second place Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace tomorrow or the Reds beat Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at Anfield.
They are currently 13 points ahead of the Gunners with five games left of the 24/25 season.
Given this transition and only making one major signing in the form of Federico Chiesa, few fans and pundits predicted they would win the title this season.
It is likely though that they will win the league with a few games to spare.
Some rival fans have attempted to dismiss the Liverpool head coach's achievements by undermining the wider quality of the League this season.
One argument made by rival fans is that Liverpool have been relatively fortunate with injuries to key players compared to Arsenal.
It has also been claimed that Liverpool have benefitted from Arsenal and other rival teams performing poorly.

Football journalist Dougie Critchley, who appears regularly on Sky Sports, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, this morning to argue Liverpool deserve more credit for their achievements this season.
Dougie said: “I really don't like the narrative around Liverpool.
Liam mistakenly believed Dougie was a Liverpool fan when he replied to his post.
Referring to his side winning four Premier League titles on the bounce from 2021 to 2024, Liam said: “Let’s see ya do four in a row ya s****bubbles.”
However Dougie hit back with humour, saying: “I'm a Sunderland fan Liam, sadly pretty unlikely!” The north-east side are currently fourth in the Championship.
They were relegated from the top flight in 2017 and last won a major trophy back in 1973.
