Liverpool are through to the Carabao Cup final.

Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk saw the Reds overcome a 1-0 deficit from the first leg with a comprehensive victory at Anfield.

Newcastle sealed their spot at Wembley with a stunning 4-0 aggregate success over Liverpool's Premier League title rivals Arsenal.

As a result it means the Magpies' Premier League match at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, March 15 (3pm kick-off) will have to be rescheduled.

The same applies to the Reds' trip to Aston Villa on Saturday, March 15 (12.30pm kick-off).

Arne Slot's table-toppers will now travel to Villa Park on Wednesday, February 19 (7.30pm kick-off).

The new date also means the Reds will have no midweek rest before their massive Premier League showdown at defending champions Manchester City on Sunday, February 23 (4.30pm).

However, City will have the little matter of a Champions League knockout phase play-off second leg away to holders Real Madrid on the same night (February 19).

The first leg takes place at the Etihad on Tuesday, February 11.
