Liverpool will make a late decision on Alisson’s availability to face Fulham on Sunday.
The goalkeeper returned home early from Brazil duty during the international break with a suspected concussion and he was left out of the squad for the Merseyside derby victory on Wednesday night after failing to pass all the necessary protocols.
Liverpool now turn their attention to a trip to Craven Cottage this weekend, looking to take another chunk out of the maximum of 13 points they need to secure the Premier League title.
Asked whether Alisson would be ready to return against Fulham, Arne Slot said at his pre-match press conference: “With Ali, it is simple: it is a concussion and you have to tick all the boxes.
The moment he doesn’t, we are following the protocol.”
Should Alisson again be ruled out, Caoimhin Kelleher will keep his place in goal.
There is a decision for Slot to make at right-back, after Curtis Jones impressed while filling in there against Everton, and that could be enough for the Liverpool boss to continue with that experiment.
The midfielder was preferred to Jarell Quansah in midweek, but Jones’ place at full-back is likely to depend on the availability of Conor Bradley.
The Northern Irishman is back in training after a hamstring injury and is nearing a return to action, having been out since February.

Speaking about his right-back options, Slot said: “Of course, Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Joe [Gomez] will not be back in the upcoming weeks.
Conor, we have to wait and see if he is ready to be with the squad for Sunday.
“Then of course Curtis is an option because he did well, but I think Jarell [Quansah] did well a few times in that position also.
Let’s wait and see which decision we make on Sunday.”
Slot confirmed that Liverpool did not pick up any fresh injury issues against Everton, with Alexis Mac Allister expected to be available this weekend despite being on the end of a heavy challenge from James Tarkowski.
