Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of Cody Gakpo ahead of their Premier League clash with Wolves.
Gakpo was injured in Wednesday’s Merseyside derby at Everton and has been being assessed this week.
He was not spotted at Liverpool training on Friday.
“I had to take him off because of an injury, because he got a knock, so let's see how he is.”
Curtis Jones is suspended following his red card after the final whistle at Goodison Park.
Slot himself is likely to be in the dugout at Anfield despite his red card on Wednesday, with any potential ban for him unlikely to be imposed in time for the match.
Trent Alexander-Arnold made his return off of the bench against Everton and is in contention to start on what be his 250th appearance for Liverpool.
“We saw Trent [Alexander-Arnold], of course, being able to play,” said Slot.
"It was the intention to play around half an hour, I think he played somewhere around half an hour, so he will be training with us again.”
If Gakpo is missing, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are vying for his place as Liverpool bid to re-establish their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League after Arsenal won at Leicester on Saturday.
