Liverpool are putting plans into place for the summer transfer window, a market that is looking set to be a big one for the Reds.
With the Anfield side all-but confirmed as Premier League champions, Arne Slot’s first season at Liverpool has been an unquestionable success, with the Dutch coach proving to be the perfect successor for Jurgen Klopp.
Yet looking ahead to next season, new signings will be needed if the Reds are to go one step further than what they’ve achieved this campaign, with Liverpool eyeing as many as five new signings in the summer transfer window.
One such position Liverpool will look to strengthen is central defence, and the Merseyside giants have now joined the growing list of clubs interested in one player in particular from the Bundesliga.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are targeting a move for VfL Wolfsburg youngster Konstantinos Koulierakis, who this season has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in Europe with the German side.
Noted by Bild as ‘one of the most sought after defensive talents in Europe’, Koulierakis has been a revelation for Wolfsburg since joining from the Greek Super League last summer, with many of the biggest teams in football now chasing the 21-year-old.
Standing at 6’2? and already a senior international with Greece, Koulierakis ticks a lot of boxes for what Liverpool are looking for in a young central defender who could one day replace Virgil van Dijk in the starting XI.
And as per the report, Wolfsburg are open to selling Koulierakis this summer, an incentive that could motivate Liverpool to sign the defender, even with the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan also interested in the youngster.
