Dean Huijsen is a name that is set to dominate stories in the build-up to the 2025 summer transfer window.
The Bournemouth star was been an incredible addition to the Cherries team last summer and the centre-back has gone on to impress in the Premier League throughout the 2024/25 campaign, which earned the 20-year-old a call-up to the Spanish national team last month.
Huijsen has featured in 30 games for Andoni Iraola’s side, producing two goals and one assist, while racking 2350 minutes of action.
This has attracted several clubs to the Bournemouth defender and with the youngster having a £50m release clause in his contract, it is expected that the Spain international will depart the Vitality Stadium during the summer.

Bournemouth are prepared for Huijsen’s exit this summer as five Premier League clubs have already made contact with the player’s representatives, reports GIVEMESPORT.
The report states that Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham have all shown interest in the Spanish star and that a deal could even be agreed with one of these clubs before the transfer window opens for an initial 10 days on June 1.
Liverpool have had a long-term interest in Huijsen, while Chelsea also have the defender very high on their list of targets, and out of all the clubs involved in the race, the Blues seem like the most likely destination for the centre-back.
It is also likely that Huijsen moves due to the situations at the other clubs in the race, as Liverpool have Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate as their starting pair, although the French star could leave Anfield this summer, with Jarell Quansah’s future also uncertain.
Huijsen chose to join Juventus over Real Madrid back in 2021 and the La Liga club is the club the centre-back dreams of joining next, however, the Spanish giants have not decided whether to sign a centre-back this summer.
“Dean Huijsen would be super excited about joining Real Madrid, as a Spanish national team player, he would love to make this move.
“At the same time, Real Madrid have not decided if they want to sign a centre-back during the summer or invest in other positions, and then sign a centre-back in 2026; this is the decision they need to make.”
All these factors point to Chelsea being the next club for Huijsen, but that could all change very fast, especially if the Blues fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
