Liverpool's and Newcastle's accommodation preferences on the eve of the Carabao Cup final have been revealed, as both clubs put the final touches on their preparations for the Wembley showdown.
Arne Slot's Reds' chances of winning a treble this season were ended on Tuesday night as Paris Saint-Germain eliminated them from the Champions League, but there is no time for the players to feel sorry for themselves, with the first trophy of the season up for grabs this weekend.

Newcastle stayed at a hotel right next to Wembley on the eve of the 2023 final, which they lost to Manchester United, but has opted for a change two years on.
The report adds that Newcastle will travel to the final on a new luxury coach worth around $650,000.
Liverpool was taken to extra-time and penalties by PSG, prompting concerns that the players might not be fully fresh when the cup final rolls around, but there are five days between the games, so that should not be an issue.
One player who almost certainly won't be playing in the final, though, is Trent Alexander-Arnold, after he was forced off with an ankle injury during the second half against PSG.
"[Trent] had to come off

So I would be surprised if he is available for Sunday." Joe Gomez, Conor Bradley and Tyler Morton are also out.
Newcastle, meanwhile, will be without several key players, including Anthony Gordon, Lewis Hall and Sven Botman
