Liverpool FC have announced a plan to help the club’s supporters travel to Wembley for the Carabao Cup final.
Arne Slot’s side take on Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final scheduled for Sunday, March 16.
It will be Liverpool’s 15th League Cup final appearance and their third final appearance in the last four seasons.
Tickets for the game are already on sale, and Liverpool recently announced a viewing event for fans who cannot attend the game again at Wembley.
To help supporters who have secured a ticket for the game, Liverpool have now announced a transportation plan for those going for the game.
Liverpool announce plan to sell official supporter coaches tickets
In a statement posted on the club’s website, Liverpool announced that supporters will have the opportunity to purchase a coach ticket for one of the official supporter coaches taking fans to the venue of the final.
“Liverpool FC has secured a limited number of official supporter coaches for this year’s Carabao Cup final,” the statement read.
“We know supporters would like to have certainty about their travel arrangements for the trip to Wembley, and if the planned train strikes by Network Rail go ahead, no train services will be operating on the day of the final, Sunday, March 16.”
“The club recognises the effort that supporters are making to get to Wembley despite the challenges posed by the lack of transport options?
LFC is therefore giving supporters who have bought their match ticket through the club an option to purchase a coach ticket for one of the official supporter coaches.”
Further information on the price and conditions for the ticket was also provided, with the club insisting that only supporters who bought their tickets from the club’s official source will be qualified.
“Coach travel will be available to purchase online from 2pm on Monday, February 24, and is priced at £65 per person, which is the cost price,” they added.
“Those aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult, and coach travel tickets are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable for this fixture.
“Supporters are reminded to only purchase match tickets for the Carabao Cup final from the club, as it is the only official seller of LFC general admission tickets for the game.
“Fans should be aware that ticket checks will be carried out on the day, and if a supporter is trying to use a ticket that has not been bought directly through LFC, the supporter may be denied entry to Wembley.
“If supporters do purchase tickets from unofficial sellers, the club will not be in a position to help if they are refused entry.”
