Arne Slot would love to have Jurgen Klopp cheering Liverpool on at Wembley next month - after revealing he has already invited his predecessor back to Anfield.

Klopp lifted the Carabao Cup in his final season as Kop boss - and the Reds have the chance to retain the trophy when they meet Newcastle in the final on March 16.

Slot reckons it wouldn’t be a problem to have the German watching from the posh seats after he was unable to take up his offer of seeing Liverpool play at Anfield this season.

Slot said: "I wouldn't mind him (Klopp) coming.

He is more than welcome.

"But at this moment he had a job to do and in the first half of the season he had a job to do with his wife, enjoying life.
