Liverpool have completed their first move of the January transfer window, with goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga leaving the club.
The 22-year-old stopper has sealed a switch back to his homeland with Fluminense following four years at Anfield, where he failed to make a first-team appearance after his arrival in a £1.8million move as a teenager.
He had loan spells at Macclesfield, Irish side St Patrick’s Athletic and Scottish club Livingston.
And while he featured in a number of matchday squads for the Reds, his time at the club has been cut short, with a return to his former side.
A club statement declared: "Everyone at LFC wishes Marcelo the best of luck for the future."

England international Alexander-Arnold is being heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, although the Spanish giants have looked to cut a January deal, seeing an £18million offer rebuffed at the start of the window.
