Liverpool will be heading back to Asia as part of their pre-season tour.
The current Premier League leaders are set to take on Italian heavyweights AC Milan in Hong Kong before paying a first-ever summer visit to Japan.
A meeting with the Rossoneri at the newly opened Kai Tak Stadium on July 26 will coincide with the 20th anniversary of their Champions League final.
Arne Slot’s side will be contesting the Standard Chartered Trophy, named after their main sponsor, when doing battle with the Serie A giants.
The Reds last travelled to Asia in 2023 ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge when they played in Singapore and previously visited Hong Kong in 2017.
While in the region, the club will also take part in a number of key local community projects and cultural activities, as well as a number of fan events with some LFC legends.
Ben Latty, LFC’s chief commercial officer, said: “We’re extremely excited to be returning to Asia for this summer’s pre-season tour.
“And we’re very grateful to our principal partner, Standard Chartered, for their support in sponsoring the Standard Chartered Trophy against AC Milan, 20 years on from that magical night in Istanbul.
“We look forward to bringing our hundreds of millions of fans in Asia closer to the club they love.”
Full details of the Japan leg of the tour will be announced in due course but supporters can register their interest in the pre-season tour from Monday.
Relevant parties will also be contacted directly by the club.
