Liverpool have confirmed their second pre-season friendly of the summer.

The Reds will face Yokohama F.

The clash against at the J1 League outfit, who are managed by former England assistant boss Steve Holland, will take place at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama on Wednesday, July 30.

It will be Liverpool's second match of their pre-season tour of Asia.

That will be the first football fixture to be played at the newly opened stadium and the winners will be awarded the Standard Chartered Trophy.

Standard Chartered have been the Reds' principal shirt partner since 2010.

Details on ticket sales and kick-off times for both games will follow in due course

Relevant parties will also be contacted directly by the club.

Liverpool's players and backroom staff will be flown to Asia by Japan Airlines, the club’s official airline partner.

The Reds last visited the region by playing in Singapore in 2023 and previously travelled to Hong Kong for pre-season in 2017.

While in Asia, the club will also take part in a number of key local community projects and cultural activities, as well as hosting a number of supporter events with club legends.

Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at Liverpool, previously said: “We’re extremely excited to be returning to Asia for this summer’s pre-season tour and we’re very grateful to our principal partner, Standard Chartered, for their support in sponsoring the Standard Chartered Trophy against AC Milan, 20 years on from that magical night in Istanbul.

“The game against Milan will take place at the state-of-the-art Kai Tak Stadium, a venue that was opened at the beginning of March.

“It’s a great honour for us to enjoy the award-winning and first-rate hospitality of Japan Airlines, our official airline partner, to fly us in comfort and ensure our pre-season tour starts and ends in the best way possible.
