Liverpool has announced 17-year-old goalkeeper Bailey Hall has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Hall joined the Reds four years ago from Sunderland, and has been a regular in the U18s setup as they've reached the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup.

He was also part of the U19s side that qualified for the knockout stages of the UEFA Youth League, having made 19 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The teenager actually revealed the news nearly three months ago, having posted a picture of himself signing his contract on his Instagram account.

Hall’s contract news comes as Liverpool is set for a shake-up in its goalkeeping department this summer.

Vitezslav Jaros - who has made two first-team appearances this season, having made his senior debut for Liverpool off the bench at Crystal Palace in October - is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, with a decision yet to be made on his future.

The 32-year-old has confirmed he turned down a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, and has insisted he wants to see out the rest of his contract at Anfield, which runs until 2026 - although there is the option of a further year.
