Liverpool was left unhappy with a John McGinn handball that went unpunished shortly before Ollie Watkins put Aston Villa in front during the Premier League clash between the teams at Villa Park.
But the incident was essentially too far back before the goal was scored for the VAR to intervene.
It was a marginal call with the referee determining that McGinn had not intentionally handled.
"The handball happened so far before the goal went in, so maybe that's why it hasn't been taken back," pundit Alan Hutton said on TNT Sports.
