Liverpool will be without at least four players when they travel to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, Conor Bradley has also been ruled out for a number of weeks after suffering a hamstring injury of his own against Aston Villa last month.

But Liverpool will also be left without a fourth player for their Champions League round-of-16 tie as Amara Nallo serves a suspension after being sent off when making his Reds debut against PSV Eindhoven back in January.

Admittedly, the teenager was hardly likely to be called upon in Paris, so won’t be handing Arne Slot a selection dilemma on this occasion.

However, the Reds are currently facing a disciplinary headache as they look to progress in the Champions League, with four of their players at risk of being suspended for round-of-16 second leg against the Ligue 1 giants back at Anfield.

Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott have all already been booked twice in this year’s Champions League, and are one yellow card away from serving a one-game suspension.

Having already served a one-game ban in the league phase, Alexis Mac Allister is also at risk of an additional ban.

The Argentina international has been booked four times so far in this season’s competitions.

Players are served with one-game suspension after the accumulation of three yellow cards that did not result in a red card, as well as after any subsequent odd-numbered caution.

With yellow cards not expiring until completion of the quarter-finals, the quartet have four games to get through if they are to avoid a ban.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas and Darwin Nunez have all been booked once in the Champions League so far this season, so would all face a ban if booked twice more before the end of the quarter-finals.

While a number of Liverpool players are walking a disciplinary tight-rope, the Reds will at least welcome both Slot and assistant head coach Sipke Hulshoff back to the dugout in Paris.

The pair are both halfway through serving a two-game touchline ban in the Premier League after being charged for their behaviour towards officials after Liverpool’s controversial 2-2 draw away at Everton last month, but are free to return to the sidelines for Champions League duty.
