Liverpool will be without three players for Tuesday night’s Champions League round-of-16 second leg at home to Paris Saint-Germain.

Conor Bradley remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, while both Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton face lengthy absences after undergoing surgery on hamstring and shoulder injuries respectively.

But while Liverpool have no new injuries to report ahead of their second leg with PSG, they do have a number of players at risk of suspension.

Captain Virgil van Dijk was shown a yellow card at the Parc des Princes, and is now only one booking away from having to serve a one-game suspension.

Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott had all already been booked twice in this year’s Champions League, prior to the trip to Paris.

And while they successfully navigated last week’s match, they continue to walk a disciplinary tight-rope and are also one yellow card away from serving a one-game suspension.

Meanwhile, having already served a one-game ban in the league phase, Alexis Mac Allister is also at risk of an additional ban.

The Argentina international has been booked four times so far in this season’s competition.

Players are served with one-game suspension after the accumulation of three yellow cards that did not result in a red card, as well as after any subsequent odd-numbered caution.

With yellow cards not expiring until completion of the quarter-finals, the quintet have three games to get through if they are to avoid a ban.

But if any of them are booked against PSG on Tuesday night, they will be suspended for the first leg of the quarter-final, at home to Club Brugge or Aston Villa, if Liverpool progress to the last eight.

Ryan Gravenberch, Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas and Darwin Nunez have also all been booked once in the Champions League so far this season, so would all face a ban if booked twice more before the end of the quarter-finals.
