Not a single BBC analyst backed Liverpool to clinch the Premier League title this season, with only two out of 30 predictions even suggesting Arne Slot's squad would secure second place.

Despite being overlooked after pre-season favorites Manchester City and Arsenal faltered, the Reds are now closing in on the title in Slot's debut season.

Now, all 30 BBC analysts who failed to tip Liverpool for the title, instead favouring either Arsenal or City, have been left embarrassed.

A few analysts, including Steve Sidwell, Leon Osman, and Pat Nevin, didn't even predict the Reds would make the top four.
