Liverpool look likely to be on the hunt for a new central striker during the 2025 summer transfer window.
The Reds have not been able to settle on either Darwin Nunez or Diogo Jota this season, with Arne Slot ready to install his own man next term.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Nunez is likely to be sold on Friday, and with Jota’s injuries continuing to be disruptive, it is a key area for Liverpool to bolster.
Newcastle forward Alexander Isak would be many supporters’ pick to come in as the Reds’ new No.9.
But in our opinion, Isak’s injury record and price-tag may count against him.
Liverpool do not tend to do the obvious thing in the market and it’s likely that they’ll be scouring Europe and the world for exactly the right player.
As the scouting team get to work, it’s likely that their attention will have been captured by former Arsenal striker Mika Biereth’s stunning form at Monaco.

It is slightly difficult to pinpoint targets for Liverpool’s centre-forward position simply as we do not fully know what Slot wants from the position.
As a result, it’s a good idea for Reds fans to be well aware of any central striker who is finding the net with regularity.

Having joined Monaco from Sturm Graz in January, Biereth certainly fits into that category.
The 22-year-old was already having a good season in Austria, scoring 14 goals in 25 appearances.
However, since his move to the Principality, Biereth has simply been on fire.

The Denmark U21 international hit a hat-trick against Reims on Friday night to make it 10 goals in 10 appearances for Monaco.
Unbelievably, it was Biereth’s third treble in three consecutive home games for Adi Hutter’s team.
As per L’Equipe, the young striker also beat Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s record of most goals after seven matches in Ligue 1.
Biereth has 10 to Zlatan’s nine.
In what is turning into another disappointing campaign for them, Biereth’s form should be something of an embarrassment for Arsenal.
The Gunners currently have no central striker fit and available.
In a campaign where they look set to get the better of Arsenal, signing a player Arteta once deemed not good enough could be another way for Liverpool to make the Gunners look foolish.
