Liverpool’s transfer plans this summer are set to be exciting, with plenty of work needed on the senior squad.
Despite the Reds being one point away from winning the Premier League title, many supporters will agree that multiple signings are needed if Liverpool are to retain the championship next season under Arne Slot.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to join Real Madrid, every position in the squad could see an addition during the transfer window, with Liverpool set to have money to spend to bring in some truly quality players.
And one player wanted by Liverpool could cost a lot less this summer than the Reds first envisioned if they play their cards right.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Dean Huijsen’s £50m release clause can be paid in three instalments, giving the likes of Liverpool a lot of financial freedom regarding how they want to sign the Bournemouth defender.
With Liverpool linked with the £150m-rated Alexander Isak, signing Huijsen on a deal that involves paying in instalments could be of great use for the Reds, who Jamie Carragher believes need six new players this summer heading into next season.

Indeed, Liverpool need a lot of signings this summer and only so much to spend despite a big rumoured budget and big-name players expected to depart Anfield, which is why news of Huijsen’s release clause is so big.
Should Liverpool strike an agreement with Bournemouth for Huijsen involving instalments, the Reds will have plenty of room to invest more money into different areas of the squad that need new signings, namely the fullback positions and the attack.
Huijsen has been linked with a move to Liverpool for some time, with the Bournemouth defender one of the most in-demand players in Europe heading into this summer after a breakout season in the Premier League.
Lauded by Marco Conteiro as an ‘extraordinary’ talent, Huijsen ticks a lot of boxes Liverpool are looking for when it comes to signing a new long-term centre-back this summer, with the defender on course to become one of the best in the world in the future.
And with Bournemouth now willing to accept instalments for Huijsen this summer, the Spaniard has become even more appealing for Liverpool, who could make a first move for the defender in the coming weeks.
