One player who will hope to play a key role in both of those games is Ibrahima Konate, although there were some fears that the defender may have been forced to be on the sidelines.
Konate was shown a yellow card during the 2-1 win over Wolves on Sunday and was substituted at half-time to be replaced by Jarell Quansah.
What I say now will not change anything but in my opinion the second yellow card should be shown."
The decision by referee Simon Hooper not to book Konate has been the subject of debate ever since the final whistle at Anfield, with former PGMOL chief Keith Hacket among those to have since shared their view that it was an incorrect decision, while Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool centre-back Jamie Carragher one of the high profile names to back the on-field verdict.
Here, ECHO writers debate whether or not Konate should have been shown a red card during Liverpool's win over Wolves.

It wouldn't be a Premier League title race without some elements of controversy.
When it comes to Ibrahima Konate potentially being sent off against Wolves, I believe the right decision was made.
The initial decision to book Konate by Hooper was correct, as was the case for no yellow card being shown for the second challenge that is the subject of debate.
There have been worse decisions this season, but it was clear that Simon Hooper should have shown the defender a second yellow card.
Slot's own admission after the game that he took him off to avoid a sending-off said it all.
There will be plenty of people that argue his second foul was worthy of a yellow card, but it was quite clearly accidental.
His first offence that saw him booked was also rather soft given it was committed so close to Wolves' goal and there was no real threat of a counter-attack.

It would have been harsh to show Konate a second yellow card for his second foul on Matheus Cunha.
Wolves rightly received a free-kick because it is a clear foul as the Liverpool defender was late in contesting for the ball, but I do not believe that challenge is worthy of a booking.
The first yellow was also somewhat soft for me as, despite the blatant pullback on Cunha, I am unsure there is an obvious counter-attack for Wolves with the foul coming so deep in their half.
However, Konate hardly helped his cause by kicking the ball away.
So, on the whole, I can see why the referee acted, but I do not believe it was as definite as some have described it because comparable instances come to mind where such pullbacks have gone unpunished.

The only thing that has made Konate look more guilty than needed was the substitution.
Ultimately that is just a great piece of game management from Slot, not wanting to risk the result on Sunday or his player for the Villa clash in midweek
