Liverpool is facing competition from other clubs in the Premier League for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo.
Semenyo has emerged as a target for top clubs due to his form for the Cherries this term, with the 25-year-old having scored 10 goals and registered six assists in 36 appearances.
Manchester United and Tottenham are also said to be interested in Semenyo — who previously named Virgil van Dijk as his toughest opponent — as both clubs look for reinforcements over the summer after experiencing awful 2024-25 seasons.
United and Spurs currently occupy the 14th and 15th spots respectively in the Premier League, with both clubs' campaigns now resting on success in the Europa League.

And it sounds as though they might need to win the competition, and secure the subsequent riches that come with qualifying for the Champions League, in order to be able to afford a player like Semenyo
That's because Bournemouth is said to be holding out for £70 million ($93 million) for the Ghana international, who is a key player under Andoni Iraola.
GiveMeSport reports that Liverpool is "threatening to go toe-to-toe" with United and Spurs for Semenyo, but Bournemouth realistically holds all the cards as he has four years left on his contract with the South Coast club, having penned a long-term renewal last summer.
As well as United, Liverpool, and Spurs, Chelsea is also said to be monitoring Semenyo's situation, although the price tag could ultimately prove too high to put any suitor off.
The report adds that Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, who has been persistently linked with a move to Liverpool, is viewed by the Reds as a better value option than Semenyo.
Milos Kerkez is being linked with a move to Liverpool
Liverpool is said to be the favorite to land Kerkez and there is reportedly belief that he will be easier to pry away from the Cherries than Semenyo.
Bournemouth signed a new left-back in January in Argentina's Julio Soler, and there was a suspicion at the time that he was signed as an eventual replacement for Kerkez.
The left side of Liverpool's defense has emerged as an issue due to Andy Robertson's drop-off in form, and the club has been scouting long-term replacements for the Scot.
Even if Robertson hadn't experienced a difficult season, it would have been logical for Liverpool to be considering its options at left-back anyway considering the former Hull player is now 31; Robertson's understudy, Kostas Tsimikas, has shown little to suggest he is capable of usurping Robertson in Arne Slot's team.
